Inaugural Schools Challenge Recap

The inaugural 3Ptag Queensland Schools Challenge has officially come to a close, and what an incredible milestone it has been.

Over two action-packed days at Bill Norris Oval, we were proud to welcome schools from across the region to be part of something truly special. To see the event reach full capacity in its very first year is a testament to the belief, support, and enthusiasm shown by our schools, students, and wider community.

From the opening whistle, the standard of competition was outstanding. Every match reflected not only skill and preparation, but also the culture and pride within each school. The way teams conducted themselves throughout the tournament helped create an environment that was competitive, respectful, and full of energy.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to all gold and silver medallists across each division, as well as those recognised in our 1 v 1 competition, sprint races, and both Tournament and Finals MVP awards.

Day 2 brought an extra layer of excitement with the introduction of our relay races and it’s safe to say they exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere lifted to another level as teams rallied behind their runners, creating some of the most memorable moments of the entire event. This spectacle quickly became a highlight of the tournament and is something we are excited to continue building in future years.

Our 1 v 1 competitions also saw an outstanding turnout, showcasing individual talent, determination, and competitive spirit.

Thank you once again to all schools, players, staff, officials, and supporters who helped make this event possible. We can’t wait to welcome you back in 2027.
